Brightline Welcomes New Sales Manager

BRIDGEVILLE, PA— Brightline today announced that Kenneth D. Oots has joined the company as Southern Sales Manager. An experienced professional with more than a decade in high-technology sales and customer support, Ken most recently served as commercial sales manager of the Eastern Carolina Division for Time Warner Commercial Services, a leading provider of IP-based connectivity solutions comprising Ethernet, fiber-optic, VPN, and security products. Ken also brings considerable expertise in the sales and integration of videoconference products--Brightline’s fastest-growing sector--through previous positions as VTC sales manager with The Whitlock Group and national sales manager with C-Phone Corporation, where he specialized in distance-learning and telemedicine applications. Among many examples of innovative projects, Ken led the development team for a Yale University telemedicine study conducted jointly by Yale, the U.S. Army, and NASA to examine patients in real time from a base camp on Mount Everest.

Ken holds a BA in political science from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He is a Navy veteran and accomplished scuba diver/instructor, serving as an adjunct faculty member in scientific diving at UNC Wilmington’s Department of Environmental Sciences.

Based in Wilmington, NC, Ken will cover Brightline’s Southern territory, which ranges from the Atlantic coast across the South through Texas, and north to Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, and North Carolina.
